With the number of foods available today that are now infused with CBD oil, cooking with CBD oil is becoming a popular topic.
The question is, how do you cook with CBD oil and what can you make with it.
Well, before you get too excited and throw away your sunflower or olive oil to make way for litres of CBD oil, best take some advice from a professional chef.
We know a few, and here’s what they all said.
Do not sautée or deep fry food in cannabis oil, or even other cooking oils infused with CBD oil.
They reckon that when heated above 120 degrees Fahrenheit, CBD oil becomes really bitter, while it is also likely to also lose its potential health benefits.
Kiss goodbye to CBD fish and chips then.
Instead, they recommend you use it as a finishing oil or in a vinaigrette.
When asked what sort of CBD oil you should use, they suggested full-spectrum CBD oil as this also includes terpenes, which are responsible for the distinctive smell and taste of cannabis.
